Description
A vulnerability was detected in yhx070424 ShopXO up to 2.2.7. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file config/ueditor.php of the component Ueditor Upload Interface. The manipulation of the argument path_type results in path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in ShopXO versions through 2.2.7, specifically within the Ueditor Upload Interface. The issue arises in the file config/ueditor.php, where the path_type parameter is not properly validated, allowing attackers to traverse directories and write files to arbitrary locations. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely without authentication.
Users are advised to update to the latest version of ShopXO and apply the recommended fixes, which include adding authentication to the Ueditor controller, validating the path_type parameter to prevent traversal, and disabling PHP execution in the upload directory.
