Description
Improper exposure of the MCP server in alibabacloud-rds-openapi-mcp-server allows remote attackers to invoke exposed MCP tools via network access to an MCP endpoint listening on all network interfaces by default.
A vulnerability exists in the Alibaba Cloud RDS OpenAPI MCP Server due to improper exposure of the MCP server. This issue allows remote attackers to access and invoke exposed MCP tools through network access to an MCP endpoint, which by default listens on all network interfaces.
Do not expose the MCP endpoint to the public Internet. If a non-loopback address must be used, restrict it to a trusted private network, enforce network access controls, configure the API key, and avoid enabling write-capable tools unless explicitly required.
