Description
A vulnerability was identified in Fast FAC1900R 20190827_2.0.2. The impacted element is the function get_alias_name of the component uhttpd. Such manipulation leads to stack-based buffer overflow. A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Fast FAC1900R router, specifically in the version 20190827_2.0.2. The issue arises in the uhttpd component's get_alias_name function, where the cloud_config.info.alias field is copied from an HTTP JSON request into a stack buffer using memcpy. This operation lacks proper validation of the string length, allowing for remote exploitation by sending a specially crafted HTTP POST request. The vulnerability has been publicly disclosed, and an exploit is available.
