Description
Mattermost Desktop App versions <=6.2 6.0.2 5.6.13.0 fail to validate payloads sent from the Mattermost Web App to the Desktop App which allows a malicious server owner to crash the Mattermost Desktop App via changing the payload of a method to a malformed one. A vulnerability exists in the Mattermost Desktop App in versions 6.2, 6.0.2, and 5.6.13.0, where the application fails to properly validate payloads received from the Mattermost Web App. This oversight allows a malicious server owner to send malformed payloads that can crash the desktop application.
Users can upgrade to Mattermost Desktop App version 6.3 or later to address this vulnerability.
