Description
Aureus ERP before 1.5.0 fails to scope message lookups to the current record in ChatterPanel, allowing authenticated users to access arbitrary messages. Attackers can submit sequential message IDs to read, edit, delete, or pin messages from other departments or companies, and enumerate all notes in the system.
A vulnerability in Aureus ERP versions prior to 1.5.0 allows authenticated users to access and manipulate messages in the Chatter panel without proper authorization. The issue arises because message lookups are not scoped to the current record, enabling users to access arbitrary messages by submitting sequential message IDs. This flaw allows for reading, editing, deleting, or pinning messages from other departments or companies. Additionally, it facilitates enumeration of all notes in the system.
Users can update to Aureus ERP version 1.5.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
