Description
The MBStorage DRAM lighting control module within Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) developed by GIGABYTE Technology has an Improper Access Control vulnerability. Authenticated local attackers can send specific IOCTL commands through the driver MyPortIO_x64.sys bundled with the module, thereby arbitrarily reading and writing physical memory and obtaining kernel-level privileges.
A vulnerability allowing improper access control has been identified in the MBStorage DRAM lighting control module of Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) developed by GIGABYTE Technology. This vulnerability allows authenticated local attackers to send specific IOCTL commands through the MyPortIO_x64.sys driver, which is bundled with the module. Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to arbitrary reading and writing of physical memory, with the potential to gain kernel-level privileges.
Users are advised to update the MBStorage module to version 26.06.03.01 or later.
