Description
jshERP through 3.6 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the POST /user/resetPwd endpoint that allows authenticated users to reset any other user's password. Attackers can submit a request with an arbitrary target user ID to reset that account's password to a known default value, enabling unauthorized access to other user accounts including administrators.
An authorization bypass vulnerability has been identified in jshERP versions through 3.6, specifically in the POST /user/resetPwd endpoint. This vulnerability allows authenticated users to reset the passwords of other users, including administrators, by sending a request with an arbitrary user ID. The password is reset to a known default value, facilitating unauthorized access to the affected accounts.
Users are advised to update to jshERP version 3.6 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
