A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in urllib3 version 2.6.3, specifically within its streaming API when Brotli support is enabled. This issue allows a malicious HTTP server to cause an out-of-memory condition by exploiting negative 'max_length' values, which bypass the decompression safeguards introduced in version 2.6.0. The vulnerability affects applications and libraries that use 'requests' or 'urllib3' to stream content from untrusted sources.
Users are advised to update to urllib3 version 2.7.0, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
