Description
A vulnerability was identified in Totolink A3002MU Hh-B20211125.1046. Affected is the function formWlEncrypt of the file /boafrm/formWlEncrypt. The manipulation of the argument submit-url leads to buffer overflow. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the TOTOLINK A3002MU router, specifically in the firmware version Hh-B20211125.1046. The issue arises in the function formWlEncrypt within the file /boafrm/formWlEncrypt. The vulnerability is caused by improper validation of the submit-url parameter, allowing remote attackers to send crafted HTTP requests that overflow a fixed-size buffer. This exploitation can lead to a denial-of-service condition by crashing the web server process, and potentially allow for arbitrary code execution.
