Description
SGLang through 0.5.19 in prefill/decode disaggregation mode contains an unauthenticated PUT /route endpoint on the prefill bootstrap service that allows attackers to poison the KV transfer routing table. Attackers can supply arbitrary rank_ip and rank_port values to redirect decode workers to attacker-controlled endpoints, causing denial of service or disclosure of KV transfer metadata including session identifiers and tensor-parallel topology parameters.
A vulnerability exists in SGLang versions through 0.5.19 within the prefill/decode disaggregation mode. The issue arises from an unauthenticated PUT /route endpoint on the prefill bootstrap service, which allows attackers to manipulate the KV transfer routing table. By supplying arbitrary rank_ip and rank_port values, attackers can redirect decode workers to endpoints under their control. This exploitation can lead to a denial of service or the unauthorized disclosure of KV transfer metadata, including session identifiers and tensor-parallel topology parameters.
This vulnerability has been addressed in SGLang version 0.5.20, which requires authentication for the PUT /route endpoint on the prefill bootstrap service.
