Description
The Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking WordPress plugin before 5.1.5 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup).
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 5.1.5. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape certain settings. This flaw enables high-privilege users, such as administrators, to execute stored cross-site scripting attacks, even in environments where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as multisite setups.
Users are advised to update the Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking WordPress plugin to version 5.1.5 or later.
