Description
A weakness has been identified in ag-ui-protocol ag-ui 1.0. The impacted element is the function prepareRunAgentInput of the file agent/agent.ts of the component Event Application Layer. This manipulation of the argument TEXT_MESSAGE_START causes origin validation error. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance.
A vulnerability has been identified in AG-UI Protocol version 1.0, specifically within the Event Application Layer. The issue arises in the 'prepareRunAgentInput' function of 'agent/agent.ts', where the 'TEXT_MESSAGE_START' argument manipulation leads to an origin validation error. This flaw allows for remote exploitation, as the client-side conversation record cannot differentiate between server-generated messages and genuine user input. Consequently, this vulnerability could disrupt human-in-the-loop processes by falsely clearing pending interrupts, thereby bypassing established safeguards.
A pull request has been submitted to address this vulnerability by ensuring that only client-initiated message roles are sent back to the server, and by modifying how pending interrupts are cleared.
