Description
The The WP Ultimate Review plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.2. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes.
A vulnerability exists in the WP Ultimate Review plugin for WordPress, allowing authenticated users with subscriber-level access and above to execute arbitrary shortcodes. This issue is present in all versions through 2.4.2. The vulnerability arises because the plugin does not properly validate user-supplied data before processing it with the do_shortcode function, enabling the execution of unauthorized shortcodes.
Users are advised to update the WP Ultimate Review plugin to version 2.4.3 or a newer patched version.
