Description
The WPGraphQL Smart Cache WordPress plugin before 2.3.2 does not require authorisation or validate a caller-supplied query identifier before storing a persisted query from a request, allowing unauthenticated users to publish arbitrary query documents and claim query aliases before a site's own frontend registers them.
A vulnerability exists in the WPGraphQL Smart Cache WordPress plugin in versions prior to 2.3.2. The plugin fails to require authorization or validate query identifiers provided by the caller before storing persisted queries. This oversight allows unauthenticated users to publish arbitrary query documents and claim query aliases before they are registered on the site's frontend.
Users are advised to update the WPGraphQL Smart Cache WordPress plugin to version 2.3.2 or later.
