Description
The Smart Slider 3 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.1.36 via the replaceHTMLImage function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
A directory traversal vulnerability has been identified in the Smart Slider 3 plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.5.1.36. The issue arises in the replaceHTMLImage function, where authenticated attackers with administrator-level access can exploit the vulnerability to read arbitrary files on the server, potentially accessing sensitive information.
Users are advised to update the Smart Slider 3 plugin to version 3.5.1.37 or later.
