Description
An improper privilege management vulnerability in the Hadoop integration of Progress MarkLogic Server before 11.3.6 and 12.0.3 allows an authenticated user with a low-privileged Hadoop role to escalate privileges and execute privileged operations against the Security database.
A vulnerability allowing improper privilege management has been identified in the Hadoop integration of Progress MarkLogic Server. This issue affects versions prior to 11.3.6 and 12.0.3. The vulnerability allows an authenticated user with a low-privileged Hadoop role to escalate privileges and perform privileged operations on the Security database.
Users can upgrade to MarkLogic Server 12.0.3 or 11.3.6. Instructions for upgrading from previous releases are available in the MarkLogic Server documentation. Customers on Progress Data Cloud have already been patched.
