Description
A security flaw has been discovered in WuzhiCMS up to 4.1.0. This affects the function member::setAvatar of the file /index.php?m=member&f=user&v=setAvatar of the component Avatar Upload. The manipulation of the argument File results in unrestricted upload. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file upload has been identified in WuzhiCMS versions through 4.1.0. This issue arises in the member::setAvatar function within the file user.php, part of the Avatar Upload component. The vulnerability allows for unrestricted file uploads by manipulating the File argument in a multipart request. Uploaded files are saved in a directory that is accessible via the web server, enabling execution of malicious PHP scripts. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely by authenticated users with low privileges.
