Description
IBM WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in IBM PowerVM Novalink versions 2.2.0, 2.2.1, 2.2.1.1, 2.3.0, 2.3.0.1, 2.3.1, and 2.3.2. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to cause the server to consume excessive memory resources by sending specially crafted requests.
Users are advised to upgrade to version 2.3.3 or 2.2.1.1. Instructions for downloading these versions are available on the IBM Support website.
