Description
Heap buffer overflow in Chromecast in Google Chrome on Android, Linux, ChromeOS prior to 148.0.7778.179 allowed a local attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via malicious network traffic. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Google Chromecast devices running Chrome on Android, Linux, and ChromeOS, prior to version 148.0.7778.179. This vulnerability allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code within a sandboxed environment by sending malicious network traffic.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 148.0.7778.179 or later to address this vulnerability.
