CVE-2026-90943 Details
Description
parallax filament-comments through 3.0.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in comment body rendering that allows authenticated panel users to inject malicious scripts. Attackers can store XSS payloads in comment bodies that execute in the browsers of other users viewing those comments, including administrators, enabling session token theft and unauthorized actions.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Parallax Filament Comments package, specifically in versions through 3.0.0. This vulnerability allows authenticated panel users to inject malicious scripts into comment bodies. The injected scripts are executed in the browsers of users viewing those comments, including administrators. This exploitation could lead to session token theft and unauthorized actions within the application.
To address this vulnerability, update the comment rendering process to include input sanitization. Replace the current rendering method with a 'CommentSanitizer' class that utilizes Symfony's HTML Sanitizer to clean the input before displaying it.
