A vulnerability was found in nanocoai NanoClaw up to 2.1.17. This issue affects the function forwardAttachedFiles of the file src/modules/agent-to-agent/agent-route.ts of the component Attachment Handler. The manipulation results in link following. A vulnerability exists in nanocoai's NanoClaw application, specifically in versions up to 2.1.17. The issue is located within the attachment handling component, in the 'forwardAttachedFiles' function of 'src/modules/agent-to-agent/agent-route.ts'. This vulnerability allows for link following, where a compromised or prompt-injected agent can manipulate the attachment forwarding process to write files outside of the intended session directory. The issue can be exploited remotely, and the vulnerability has been made public.
Users are advised to update to NanoClaw version 2.1.54 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
