Description
Froxlor before 2.3.12 fails to properly validate multi-line SSH public keys in the SshKeys::add() endpoint, allowing customers to inject arbitrary lines into authorized_keys files. Attackers can inject malicious SSH key entries with option directives to gain persistent unauthorized access that survives key deletion and SSH access revocation.
A vulnerability exists in Froxlor versions prior to 2.3.12, where the application fails to properly validate multi-line SSH public keys in the SshKeys::add() endpoint. This oversight allows customers to inject arbitrary lines into their authorized_keys files. Attackers can exploit this by inserting malicious SSH key entries with option directives, thereby gaining persistent unauthorized access that remains even after the keys are deleted or SSH access is revoked.
Users are advised to update to Froxlor version 2.3.12 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
