Description
A security vulnerability has been detected in Totolink A3002MU Hh-B20211125.1046. This issue affects the function formIpv6Setup of the file /boafrm/formIpv6Setup of the component boa. The manipulation of the argument static_ipv6 leads to buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the TOTOLINK A3002MU router, specifically in the firmware version Hh-B20211125.1046. The issue arises within the Boa web server component, in the 'formIpv6Setup' function. The vulnerability is triggered by the 'static_ipv6' parameter, which is not properly validated before being copied into a fixed-size buffer. This oversight allows remote attackers to send crafted HTTP requests that overflow the buffer, potentially overwriting adjacent memory and causing a denial-of-service condition by crashing the Boa process.
