Description
An input validation vulnerability exists in the HTTP-WRITEOEM handler due to insufficient validation of user-supplied data before it is processed by internal flash-write handling logic. Successful exploitation may cause httpd process or device to crash, resulting in loss of access to the web interface and a denial-of-service condition.
A vulnerability allowing unvalidated input in the HTTP-WRITEOEM handler has been identified in the TP-Link Archer A6 V4. This vulnerability arises from inadequate validation of user-supplied data before it is processed by the internal flash-writing logic. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to a crash of the httpd process or the device itself, causing a temporary loss of access to the web interface and creating a denial-of-service condition.
Users are advised to update to the latest firmware version 1.15.10 Build 260625 to address this vulnerability. Instructions for downloading the firmware are available on the TP-Link website.
