Description
Autel Maxi Charger Single firmware through V1.03.51 permits unrestricted access to the NXP i.MX6 recovery mode through exposed hardware recovery pins. An attacker with physical access can boot attacker-controlled code in memory and modify or extract firmware and other sensitive data.
A vulnerability in the Autel Maxi Charger Single firmware, through version 1.03.51, allows physical access to the NXP i.MX6 recovery mode via exposed hardware recovery pins. This vulnerability enables an attacker to boot custom code in memory, potentially modifying or extracting firmware and other sensitive data. The issue arises from unrestricted access to the recovery mode, which can be exploited by short-circuiting two pins on the i.MX6 chip.
