CVE-2026-89267 Details
Description
starlette-admin versions 0.16.1 through 0.17.1 fail to enforce the searchable_fields allowlist when configured as an empty list, allowing authenticated users to filter on non-searchable fields. Attackers can submit structured filter queries via the list API's where parameter to perform equality and comparison operations on excluded columns.
A vulnerability exists in Starlette-Admin versions 0.16.1 through 0.17.1, where the library fails to properly enforce the allowlist for searchable fields. When the allowlist is set to empty, authenticated users can filter using non-searchable fields. This flaw allows attackers to manipulate structured filter queries through the list API's 'where' parameter, performing equality and comparison operations on excluded columns.
Users can update to Starlette-Admin version 1.0.1, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
