CVE-2026-89193 Details
Description
The Robin Image Optimizer WordPress plugin before 2.0.8 does not escape values that its bundled HTML parser re-emits into element attributes when a non-default image delivery mode is enabled, allowing unauthenticated users to submit content that is stored and later executed as Cross-Site Scripting in the browser of any user viewing an affected page, including administrators.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Robin Image Optimizer WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 2.0.8. The issue arises because the plugin's HTML parser does not properly escape values when re-emitting them into element attributes, particularly when a non-default image delivery mode is active. This flaw allows unauthenticated users to submit content that is saved and later executed as cross-site scripting in the browsers of users viewing the affected page, including administrators.
Users are advised to update the Robin Image Optimizer WordPress plugin to version 2.0.8 or later.
