Description
The Bookit — Booking & Appointment Calendar WordPress plugin before 2.6.0.5 does not perform an authorization check on one of its appointment-retrieval actions, allowing users with a low-privilege Bookit — Booking & Appointment Calendar WordPress plugin before 2.6.0.5-specific role to read other users' appointment records, including customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and private booking comments.
A vulnerability exists in the Bookit — Booking & Appointment Calendar WordPress plugin in versions prior to 2.6.0.5. The issue arises because the plugin fails to implement proper authorization checks on certain appointment-retrieval actions. This oversight enables users with low-privilege, plugin-specific roles to access and read appointment records belonging to other users. The exposed data includes customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and private booking comments.
Users are advised to update the Bookit — Booking & Appointment Calendar WordPress plugin to version 2.6.0.5 or later.
