Description
The WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher WordPress plugin before 2.8.26 does not sanitise and escape one of its campaign configuration fields when a certain feature is enabled, which allows users with the Contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks that execute in the session of any higher-privileged user who later views the campaign.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 2.8.26. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape a campaign configuration field when a specific feature is enabled. This flaw allows users with Contributor roles and above to inject malicious scripts that are executed in the session of any higher-privileged user who views the campaign.
Users are advised to update the WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher WordPress plugin to version 2.8.26 or later.
