Description
The Dictionary WordPress plugin through 1.0 does not have authorisation, sanitisation or escaping in place when adding or updating dictionary entries, allowing unauthenticated users to store arbitrary web scripts which will execute when a user views an affected entry.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Dictionary WordPress plugin, affecting versions through 1.0. The issue arises because the plugin lacks proper authorization, sanitization, and escaping when adding or updating dictionary entries. This oversight allows unauthenticated users to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user views the affected entry. Exploitation requires the plugin's data file to be writable by PHP, a condition met by default in environments where PHP owns the plugin files.
