Description
The Safe Redirect Manager WordPress plugin before 2.3.0 does not properly validate the redirect destination when a wildcard redirect rule to an absolute URL is configured, allowing unauthenticated attackers to redirect visitors to an arbitrary external website via a crafted request path.
An open redirect vulnerability has been identified in the Safe Redirect Manager WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 2.3.0. The issue arises because the plugin does not properly validate redirect destinations when a wildcard redirect rule to an absolute URL is set. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to redirect users to arbitrary external websites by crafting specific request paths.
Users are advised to update the Safe Redirect Manager WordPress plugin to version 2.3.0 or later.
