CVE-2026-88788 Details
Description
The Text Styler WordPress plugin through 1.1.1 does not sanitise and escape user-supplied styling values before outputting them within a front-end style block, and does not verify that a user may edit the target post, allowing users with contributor-level access or above to store JavaScript that executes in the browser of anyone viewing the affected post, including administrators.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Text Styler WordPress plugin, affecting versions through 1.1.1. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape user-provided styling values before displaying them in a front-end style block. Additionally, it does not check whether a user has permission to edit the targeted post. This allows users with contributor-level access or higher to inject JavaScript that executes in the browsers of anyone viewing the affected post, including administrators.
