Description
FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 was discovered to contain a buffer overflow in the _Decode_GrB_Matrix function (/v19/decode_matrix.c). This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in FalkorDB Redis module versions 4.20.1 to 4.20.4. The issue arises in the '_Decode_GrB_Matrix' function within 'decode_matrix.c', where the function improperly validates the length of a buffer read from the stream. This flaw allows attackers to manipulate the input, leading to out-of-bounds writes and causing a denial-of-service condition by terminating the process.
Users can upgrade to FalkorDB version 4.20.4 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
