Description
GeoVision GV-LPC2211 V1.14 (260903) fails to validate attacker-controlled variable-length fields before copying them into fixed-size stack buffers in multiple VLSVR request handlers, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the VLSVR service.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the GeoVision GV-LPC2211 License Plate Recognition camera, running firmware version 1.14 (260903). The issue arises because the camera fails to properly validate attacker-controlled variable-length fields before copying them into fixed-size stack buffers. This flaw is present in multiple VLSVR request handlers, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the VLSVR service.
