Description
GeoVision GV-LPC2211 V1.13 allows an administrator-controlled FTP username containing shell metacharacters to be executed as arbitrary root commands during a subsequent FTP-account update.
A vulnerability exists in the GeoVision GV-LPC2211 camera running firmware V1.13, where an administrator-controlled FTP username can include shell metacharacters. This crafted username is executed as arbitrary root commands during a subsequent update of the FTP account.
Users are advised to update to the latest firmware version available on the GeoVision product download page, provided their product is still supported.
