CVE-2026-87965 Details
Description
The Easy Appointments WordPress plugin before 4.0.2.2 does not use an unguessable token to authorize its mail-link appointment cancellation and confirmation action, deriving the token from a hardcoded source-embedded salt and the appointment's creation timestamp, so unauthenticated attackers who know or guess that timestamp can cancel or confirm arbitrary appointments.
A vulnerability exists in the Easy Appointments WordPress plugin in versions prior to 4.0.2.2. The issue arises because the plugin does not use a secure token to authorize appointment cancellation and confirmation actions via email links. Instead, it generates the token from a hardcoded salt embedded in the source and the appointment's creation timestamp. This allows unauthenticated attackers who can guess or know the timestamp to manipulate appointment statuses by canceling or confirming them.
Users are advised to update the Easy Appointments WordPress plugin to version 4.0.2.2 or later.
