Description
The WPBot WordPress plugin before 8.7.6 does not perform a capability check on the AJAX action that saves its Claude AI provider settings, allowing users with subscriber-level access to overwrite those settings, including the API key used for the WPBot WordPress plugin before 8.7.6's outgoing AI requests.
A vulnerability in the WPBot WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 8.7.6, allows users with subscriber-level access to modify Claude AI provider settings. The plugin fails to implement proper capability checks on the AJAX action responsible for saving these settings, including the API key used for outgoing AI requests.
Users are advised to update the WPBot WordPress plugin to version 8.7.6 or later.
