Description
The MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'data' Dynamic Content Tag in all versions up to, and including, 4.14.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress plugin, affecting all versions through 4.14.0. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts via the 'data' Dynamic Content Tag. These scripts could be executed if a user is tricked into clicking a link.
Users can update to version 4.14.1 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
