Description
Missing authorization in SiteIsolation in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to bypass site isolation via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome's site isolation feature prior to version 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to bypass security restrictions and manipulate unrelated frames. This issue arises from missing authorization checks in the 'RenderFrameProxyHost' IPC handlers, which can be exploited by a compromised renderer to interact with frames in different browsing instances. The vulnerability could lead to unauthorized focus manipulation and the bypassing of fenced-frame focus boundaries.
Users should update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
