Description
Out of bounds read in ANGLE in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to read memory outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
A high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability has been identified in the ANGLE component of Google Chrome, affecting versions prior to 153.0.8010.36. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to read memory outside the sandbox by exploiting a crafted HTML page. The issue arises from a name collision in ANGLE's shader processing, which can overwrite sampler references and bypass boundary checks, leading to unauthorized memory access through the Vulkan graphics API.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
