Description
Incorrect authorization in SiteIsolation in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome's Site Isolation feature prior to version 153.0.8010.36 allows a remote attacker to bypass system access restrictions. This is achieved by exploiting incorrect authorization in the navigation header validation process. A compromised renderer can inject arbitrary HTTP request headers, including cookies, into browser-initiated cross-process navigations. The issue arises from a validation flaw that fails to properly parse and normalize header strings before they are sent over the network.
The vulnerability has been fixed in Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36. Users should update to this version to address the issue.
