Description
Information leak in ServiceWorker in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to obtain cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A cross-origin information disclosure vulnerability has been identified in Google Chrome versions prior to 153.0.8010.36. This issue arises from an improper handling of subresource responses in Service Workers, which can unintentionally expose sensitive cross-origin data, such as Server-Timing headers, to the requesting origin. The vulnerability bypasses the Same-Origin Policy and Timing-Allow-Origin restrictions, allowing for unauthorized access to cross-origin information.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
