Description
Missing authorization in Views in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome in the Views component prior to version 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to bypass system access restrictions through social engineering. This is achieved by exploiting missing authorization in tab-modal dialogs, such as the File System Access permission prompt. The vulnerability arises from a logic flaw in how unhandled keyboard events are processed, which can be manipulated to trigger default actions without proper user consent.
Users should update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
