Description
Improper state validation in Installer in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in the Google Chrome Installer prior to version 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to bypass system access restrictions through a crafted HTML page. This issue arises from improper state validation in the 7z archive analysis, where ignored errors during encryption detection can lead to malicious payloads being hidden from deep scanning while remaining accessible to users.
