Description
Incorrect authorization in Isolated in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to spoof UI elements via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome prior to version 153.0.8010.36 has been identified, allowing remote attackers to spoof user interface elements. This issue arises from incorrect authorization in Isolated Web Apps, which can be exploited via a specially crafted HTML page. The vulnerability is rooted in the way the browser handles scope extensions for Isolated Web Apps, potentially leading to misleading system notifications and exhaustion of safety warning quotas.
