Description
Missing authorization in Extensions in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via crafted network traffic. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome Extensions prior to version 153.0.8010.36 allowed remote attackers to execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox. This was possible by sending crafted network traffic to a compromised renderer process. The issue stemmed from missing authorization in the Extensions component.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later to address this vulnerability.
