Description
Improper state validation in Safebrowsing in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability exists in Google Chrome's Safebrowsing feature, prior to version 153.0.8010.36, that allows remote attackers to bypass system access restrictions. This is achieved through improper state validation, which can be exploited by sending a crafted HTML page. The issue arises within the RAR file analysis process, where large dictionary size headers can manipulate the extraction logic, causing malicious payloads to evade detection.
Users should update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
