Description
Confused deputy in Fullscreen in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process and leveraged social engineering to spoof UI elements via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low)
A confused deputy vulnerability has been identified in Google Chrome versions prior to 153.0.8010.36. This vulnerability allowed remote attackers who had compromised the renderer process to spoof user interface elements through social engineering, using a specially crafted HTML page. The issue arises from improper handling of permissions in fullscreen mode, enabling attackers to manipulate how information is presented to users.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later to address this vulnerability.
