Description
UI misrepresentation in Geometry in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to spoof UI elements via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A UI misrepresentation vulnerability has been identified in Google Chrome versions prior to 153.0.8010.36. This issue allows remote attackers to spoof UI elements through social engineering, by leveraging a crafted HTML page. The vulnerability arises from a logic flaw in the Blink rendering engine's handling of 3D transforms, which can be exploited to bypass clickjacking protections on permission elements. As a result, attackers could manipulate user interactions without their knowledge, potentially leading to unauthorized permission grants.
Users should update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
