Description
Incorrect authorization in Loader in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability exists in Google Chrome Loader component, in versions prior to 153.0.8010.36, due to incorrect authorization. This flaw enables remote attackers to access sensitive information by exploiting a crafted HTML page. The issue arises because background revalidation requests from extensions lose their isolated world context, allowing untrusted pages to see private extension fetch URLs and query parameters via the Resource Timing API.
Users should update to Google Chrome version 153.0.8010.36 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
